ITP Issues Traffic Plan for Kashmir Solidarity Day in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Thursday issued a traffic management plan in connection with the observance of Kashmir Solidarity Day, announcing temporary diversions on major roads of the federal capital to ensure smooth traffic flow.
An ITP official said that from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, traffic diversions will be implemented on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road, and Club Road, which may result in traffic congestion on Islamabad Expressway and Faisal Avenue.
Commuters travelling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad have been advised to use Rawal Road, Ninth Avenue, Faquir Epi Road, and Srinagar Highway. Meanwhile, motorists heading from Islamabad to Rawalpindi should use Zero Point and Srinagar Highway via Ninth Avenue, the official added.

Citizens travelling between Murree/Barakahu and Islamabad are advised to use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road, and Lehtrar Road. Those heading from Serena and Barakahu towards Rawalpindi should opt for Park Road via Khanna.
The official said that ITP personnel will remain deployed at key points to facilitate commuters and ensure effective traffic management during the specified period.
Citizens were advised to stay informed through the ITP helpline 1915 or the emergency helpline PUCAR-15.
