ITP Issues Traffic Management Plan for Pakistan Day Parade

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) have issued a comprehensive traffic management plan for the Pakistan Day parade scheduled for March 23.

To ensure smooth traffic flow and public convenience, heavy traffic will be restricted from entering Islamabad from March 22 at noon until March 23 at 3:00 p.m.

An ITP official told APP that on March 23, from 6:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Srinagar Highway will remain closed in both directions between Seventh Avenue and Kudiyanwala Chowk.

Alternative routes have been advised for commuters:

Traffic heading towards Bhara Kahu should use Seventh Avenue, Pak-China Road, Rawal Dam Chowk, Kashmir Chowk, and Club Road.

Heavy traffic from Peshawar to Lahore should take the Taxila Motorway or Tarnol Phatak via Fateh Jang Motorway.

Vehicles traveling from Lahore via GT Road to Islamabad and Rawalpindi should use Chak Beli Road and access Chakri Motorway.

Traffic from Peshawar via GT Road towards Rawat should take the Taxila Motorway, Chakri, Chak Beli Road, and Rawat route.

Travelers from Lahore via GT Road to Peshawar should follow the Rawat, Chak Beli Road, Chakri, and Taxila Motorway route.

Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Captain Zeeshan stated that ITP personnel will be deployed at key points to assist commuters. He urged citizens to contact the ITP helpline at 1915 and tune in to

FM 92.4 for real-time traffic updates. ITP’s social media platforms will also provide live traffic information.
