ITP Issues Traffic Diversion Plan for JI Rally

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has announced a special traffic diversion plan to ensure smooth vehicular movement during the Jamaat-e-Islami rally, which commenced from Faisal Masjid on Thursday.

An ITP spokesperson said that Nawaz Chowk towards Faisal Avenue will remain closed for both incoming and outgoing traffic throughout the event.

Motorists traveling from Zero Point to Faisal Avenue have been advised to use F-8 Service Road and Parveen Shakir Road as alternate routes. Similarly, those heading from Faisal Chowk to Zero Point should also opt for Parveen Shakir Road and F-8 Service Road to avoid congestion.

Traffic moving from Nawaz Chowk towards F-7 has been redirected to the F-7 Service Road.

The official added that continuous traffic updates are being broadcast on FM Radio 92.4 and shared through ITP’s official social media platforms.

Citizens have been urged to follow police instructions, use alternate routes, and cooperate with on-duty officers to ensure smooth traffic flow during the rally.
