ITP Issues Traffic Advisory for Tri-Nations Series

Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Monday issued a special traffic advisory for the ongoing Tri-Nations Cricket Series, announcing temporary closures at key Red Zone entry points due to team movements and heightened security measures.

An ITP official told APP that Serena Gate in the Red Zone will remain closed during team movements. In addition, the NADRA Gate has been closed for all types of traffic, while the Express Entry Gate is also temporarily shut under the enhanced security plan.

The official advised citizens wishing to enter the Red Zone to use Margalla Road and Marriott Road as alternative routes. Commuters heading toward Club Road are recommended to access it via 7th Avenue or Embassy Road, connecting through Srinagar Highway.

Citizens can obtain real-time traffic updates through ITP’s helpline 1915, FM 92.4, and the department’s official social media channels. The spokesperson emphasized that public cooperation and patience would help maintain smooth traffic flow during the scheduled team movements.
