ITP issues traffic advisory as diversions planned on major routes

Islamabad: Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Tuesday issued a traffic advisory announcing temporary diversions on several major roads of the federal capital during evening hours.
According to an ITP official, traffic diversions will be implemented from 5 pm to 6pm on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road and Club Road, during which traffic pressure is expected to increase on Islamabad Expressway and Faisal Avenue.
Commuters travelling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad have been advised to use Rawal Road (Rawalpindi), Ninth Avenue, Fakir Epi Road and Srinagar Highway as alternate routes.

Similarly, motorists travelling from Islamabad to Rawalpindi are advised to use Zero Point, Srinagar Highway and Ninth Avenue to avoid congestion.
The advisory further said that people travelling to and from Murree and Bari Imam (Bari Kahu) should use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road and Lehtrar Road.
Meanwhile, commuters travelling from Serena and Bari Kahu towards Rawalpindi have been advised to use Park Road and Khanna.
The ITP official said traffic police personnel will remain deployed at key points to facilitate citizens and ensure smooth traffic flow during the diversion period.
