ITP Announces Evening Traffic Diversions in Islamabad

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) on Wednesday issued a traffic advisory announcing temporary traffic diversions on major roads of the federal capital from 8pm to 9pm to ensure smooth traffic flow.
According to an ITP official, traffic diversions will be implemented on Islamabad Expressway, Murree Road and Club Road during the specified time, which may result in increased traffic pressure on Islamabad Expressway and Faisal Avenue.
Commuters travelling from Rawalpindi to Islamabad have been advised to use alternative routes, including Rawal Road (Rawalpindi), 9th Avenue, Faquir Epi Road and Srinagar Highway, to avoid inconvenience.

Similarly, motorists heading from Islamabad to Rawalpindi are advised to use Zero Point, Srinagar Highway and 9th Avenue.
The official said that citizens travelling between Murree or Bara Kahu and Islamabad should use Korang Road, Bani Gala, Park Road and Lehtrar Road. Meanwhile, road users travelling from Serena and Barakahu towards Rawalpindi are advised to use Park Road via Khanna.
He added that ITP officers will remain deployed at key locations to facilitate commuters and ensure uninterrupted traffic flow during the diversion period.
