Rawalpindi: The Islamabad district administration has initiated a crackdown on kite flying within the federal capital following a tragic incident in Faisalabad where a citizen lost his life due to a string entangling around his neck.
In response, Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon has organized teams led by assistant commissioners to enforce strict measures against kite flyers and vendors.
DC Memon emphasized the need for accountability in areas where kite flying persists, stating that individuals engaged in this activity will be held responsible.
He directed assistant commissioners and magistrates to actively monitor the situation on the ground, ensuring the closure of kite vendors’ shops and the filing of legal cases as necessary.
Furthermore, DC Islamabad urged citizens to refrain from participating in hazardous activities like kite flying, prioritizing safety above all else.
