Islamabad: Pakistani singer Ahmed Jahanzeb recently addressed the controversy surrounding the OST “Tera Mera Hai Pyar Amar” from the drama serial Ishq Murshid, starring Durefishan Saleem and Bilal Abbas.

During Hum TV’s 20th-anniversary celebrations, he claimed credit for the song’s authorship, composition, and vocals, asserting that Ishq Murshid had relied on him as the sole contributor to the track.

However, actress Javeria Saud, appearing on a private TV show, countered this claim. She revealed that she was the original songwriter and lyricist of “Tera Mera Hai Pyar Amar,” and expressed frustration at never being acknowledged for her work. She also mentioned that this was not the first time she had been the victim of such disputes.

In response to Javeria Saud’s statements, Ahmed Jahanzeb did not offer any clarification at the time. Despite the controversy, the OST became the most popular original soundtrack of the year, going viral globally.
