IHC Halts Success Notification of Tariq Fazal Chaudhry

Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has halted the notification confirming Tariq Fazal Chaudhry’s success as the PML-N candidate from Islamabad.

The order, issued by IHC Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb and Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir on Monday noon, suspends the declaration of victory.

According to details, Tariq Fazal Chaudhry contested from National Assembly Constituency NA-47 in the elections.

The suspension comes in response to a challenge filed by Muhammad Shoaib Shaheen, an independent candidate backed by PTI, contesting the election result for National Assembly Constituency NA-47 in the Islamabad High Court.
