ICT Seals 19 Shops, Arrests 40 in Dengue Drive

Islamabad: The Islamabad district administration arrested 40 people on Wednesday during a citywide crackdown against violations of dengue prevention SOPs.
Assistant commissioners, leading inspection teams, sealed 19 shops and issued notices to residents after larvae were found in several houses in Bhara Kahu.

Deputy Commissioner Irfan Nawaz Memon directed daily review meetings and strict enforcement, warning that negligence from citizens or officials would not be tolerated.
Authorities stressed that dengue prevention required community cooperation, especially in eliminating stagnant water from homes and surroundings.
