ICT Police Rescue Family of Six from Korang Nullah Flood

Islamabad: A team from Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Shahzad Town Police Station, along with specialized divers, successfully rescued six people—including three young children—trapped in floodwaters caused by heavy rainfall on Wednesday.
According to officials, heavy flooding in the Korang Nullah inundated nearby residential areas, putting lives at serious risk. Among those stranded in one affected house were two men, a woman, and three children identified as Muhammad Zulqarnain, Muhammad Zulkifl, and Muhammad Zoran.
Upon receiving a distress call through Rescue 15, Islamabad Police’s diving unit and Shahzad Town police personnel rushed to the site and safely evacuated the entire family.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi praised the swift and courageous response of the officers involved in the operation. He announced commendations and rewards in recognition of their dedication to public safety.
