ICT Police Recover Ayub Family’s Stolen Antiques

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Margalla Police team recovered antique silverware worth Rs8 million stolen from the residence of former President of Pakistan, Field Marshal Muhammad Ayub Khan’s great-grandson, after a swift and efficient operation.
According to police officials, on October 26, 2025, Taimoor Ayub Khan, son of Akbar Ayub Khan, lodged a complaint at Margalla Police Station stating that an unidentified woman had scaled the boundary wall of his house and stolen valuable historical silver items from the drawing room before escaping.
Acting on the complaint, a special investigation team was constituted under the supervision of SP City Zone, led by DSP/SDPO Margalla Circle Muhammad Khan Baloch and SHO Inspector Malik Saleem Raza, with ASI Yousaf Hussain and other officers as team members.

Through the use of CCTV footage, technical data analysis, and professional investigative methods, the team traced and apprehended the suspects involved in the theft.
The arrested individuals were identified as Shabana alias Begoo alias Sapni, wife of Asif; Sher alias Shero, son of Arif; and Amna, wife of Sher and daughter of Asif. A minor girl, Noor, aged around six to seven years, was also present during their activities.
Police recovered the complete stolen property, including antique silver dishes, trays, pots, decorative pieces, and other valuable items belonging to the Ayub family’s historic collection.
Initial investigation revealed that the accused were habitual offenders involved in multiple theft cases registered at various police stations in Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Police officials confirmed that further investigation is in progress, and the suspects will be prosecuted based on strong evidence to ensure strict legal action.
