ICT Police Arrest Six After Court-Premises Clash

Islamabad: Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police arrested six people after a violent clash erupted inside the court premises, officials said on Wednesday.
A police spokesperson said a case has been registered under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA), adding that there would be zero tolerance for disorder inside or outside judicial complexes.
“ICT Police will continue to ensure strict security in court areas,” he said, urging citizens to report suspicious activity to Pukar-15.
Capital-Wide Search
Separately, ICT Police conducted large-scale search and combing operations in areas under the jurisdictions of Industrial Area and Sangjani police stations as part of efforts to curb crime and strengthen public safety.

The operations were supervised by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza, with SP Industrial Area, SP Swan and SP Saddar monitoring field activities. Teams comprising ladies police, CTD personnel, and other units participated after receiving a detailed security briefing.
During the operation:
627 individuals and 76 houses were checked
17 shops, 35 hostels, 31 hotels, and 7 guest houses were inspected
48 motorcycles and 28 vehicles were examined
30 suspicious persons and 3 motorcycles were shifted to police stations for verification
Officials said the drive aims to dismantle criminal networks and enhance security across the capital. The Inspector General of Police (IGP) has directed that such grand operations continue district-wide to ensure safety and prevent crime.
