Hot, Humid Weather Persists in Lahore

Lahore: Hot and humid conditions continued in the provincial capital on Monday, with the Meteorological Department forecasting similar weather for the next 24 hours.

Officials said continental air was prevailing over most parts of the country, while a shallow westerly trough is likely to affect extreme northern areas from Tuesday evening or night.

They predicted hot and dry conditions for most regions, though partly cloudy skies with chances of light rain and thunderstorms are expected at isolated locations in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan during evening or night hours.

On Monday, Dalbandin recorded the highest temperature in the country at 42°C, while Lahore registered 36°C.

Partly Cloudy Weather, Drizzle Forecast for Sindh

Meanwhile, the Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast hot and dry weather across most districts of Sindh over the next 24 hours.

However, partly cloudy skies with chances of drizzle are expected at a few locations along the coastal belt.
