How Can Eating Strawberries Be Beneficial To Heart & Brain?

Islamabad: Eating 26 grams of strawberries per day, or eating 8 to 10 seeds, provides the vitamins and minerals a person needs to stay healthy which improves the health of a person’s heart and mind, according to new research.
The medical website ‘Medical News’ said that the results of research on strawberries were presented at the ‘Nutrition 2023’ conference in the United States.
The report said that American experts conducted research on the benefits and harms of eating strawberries on 35 male and female volunteers.
The experts divided all the volunteers into two groups and asked one group to eat fresh strawberries while the other group was asked to consume strawberry powder.
All the volunteers were instructed to eat a certain amount of strawberries for 8 weeks and underwent clinical tests.
After the research, the experts checked up on all the volunteers and found that the volunteers who ate fresh strawberries daily had improved blood flow and reduced blood pressure, while their memory also increased.
Similarly, people who ate strawberries had increased levels of a hormone called ‘antioxidant’ which is beneficial for improving blood pressure by lowering cholesterol while also reducing inflammation.
Strawberries have a high value of vitamin C, while they contain many other components, including vitamin B9, which are necessary to keep a person healthy. All those components can be easily obtained by eating strawberries, experts added.
Past research on strawberries has shown that the fruit is helpful in reducing obesity and increasing blood volume, including in the digestive system.
