Havaldar Lalak Jan’s Sacrifice Echoes Through Time: ISPR

Islamabad: The 26th martyrdom anniversary of Kargil War hero Havaldar Lalak Jan Nishan-e-Haider is being observed today (Monday) to honor his bravery and supreme sacrifice in the defense of the motherland during the 1999 conflict.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, along with the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chief of Naval Staff, Chief of Air Staff, and the Armed Forces of Pakistan, paid glowing tributes to the Kargil hero.
Havaldar Lalak Jan embraced martyrdom on this day in 1999 while courageously repelling repeated enemy attacks. Despite sustaining critical injuries, he refused evacuation and continued defending his post until his last breath, demonstrating unparalleled courage and unwavering dedication.
The ISPR stated that Havaldar Lalak Jan’s legacy remains a beacon of inspiration for present and future generations of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Bodies of Three Security Personnel Recovered in Lakki Marwat
The bodies of three security personnel abducted earlier this week have been found in Lakki Marwat, according to official sources.
The personnel—identified as Naseem and Muhammad Arshad from Kohat, and Muhammad Sher from Kurram district—were reportedly kidnapped on the night of July 4 after being forcibly taken from their vehicle.
Security officials have launched an investigation into the incident. No group has claimed responsibility for the abduction and killings so far.
