Haval steals the spotlight at PakWheels Auto Show in Islamabad

Islamabad: The PakWheels Auto Show turned into a hub of innovation and excitement on Sunday as automobile enthusiasts, families and prospective buyers thronged the venue to witness the latest advancements in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving auto industry. Among dozens of local and international brands on display, Haval clearly stole the show.

Organised by PakWheels in the federal capital, the event brought leading automobile manufacturers under one roof to showcase their newest models featuring cutting-edge technology, enhanced safety systems and energy-efficient designs. From early morning until closing hours, Haval’s enclosure remained one of the busiest spots at the show, drawing continuous crowds.

Haval emerged as the most sought-after brand at the event, with visitors lining up for test drives and detailed briefings. In a single day, the company conducted more than 200 free test drives—setting a record for Haval at such an exhibition and underlining strong consumer interest in its vehicles.

A major attraction was Pakistan’s largest New Energy Vehicle (NEV) lineup presented by Haval, including the Haval H6 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and the premium Tank 500. The H6 PHEV, in particular, captured the attention of visitors for its advanced Hi-4 intelligent All-Wheel Drive system, rapid 4.8-second acceleration and an impressive pure electric driving range.

The strong presence at the show capped a milestone year for GWM Pakistan, which recently celebrated the local production of its 25,000th vehicle—reflecting growing confidence in locally assembled and manufactured automobiles.

Haval representative Rehan Zafar described the response as overwhelming. “It is an honour to see such strong trust from consumers. Conducting over 200 free test drives in a single day is a record for us and shows how much interest people have in our vehicles,” he said.

He attributed Haval’s popularity to its experienced team and a vehicle range that combines modern design with practical features. “Our cars offer advanced technology, spacious luggage capacity, comfortable steering, smooth transmission, comfortable seating and improved fuel efficiency and performance,” he added.

Visitors echoed similar sentiments, praising the brand’s blend of innovation and affordability. Many cited the balance between modern features and value for money as the main reason behind Haval’s popularity, with several bookings made on the spot during the show.

One visitor shared his experience with APP, saying that after exploring all the brands on display, Haval stood out. “The test drive was exciting and the features really impressed me. I booked a car on the spot and plan to complete the purchase at the Haval Experience outlet in I-9/3,” he said, recommending others to visit Haval showrooms.

The PakWheels Auto Show drew large crowds throughout the day, with visitors appreciating the quality and variety of locally assembled and manufactured vehicles on display—signalling a growing maturity and confidence in Pakistan’s automobile industry.
