Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori has expressed full support for the Prime Minister’s decisions and announced he will donate three months of his salary toward public welfare.

The governor made the announcement while addressing participants at the 20th “Umeed-e-Ramadan” Iftar held at Governor House.

Highlighting his commitment to community service, Governor Tessori emphasized that all arrangements for the Iftar and prizes distributed at the event are funded personally, not through government resources. “Moderation is a virtue, and I encourage everyone to practice it,” he added.

The Iftar, attended by senior political figures, diplomats, and members of civil society, including the Deputy Consul General of Germany, Anja Klos, and former MQM-P leader Dr Farooq Sattar, featured daily welfare initiatives such as lucky draws for plots, motorcycles, Umrah tickets, laptops, and sewing machines.

Currently, 50,000 students are enrolled in free modern IT courses at Governor House, he noted.

Governor Tessori highlighted the inclusivity of his initiatives, stating that people from all communities, religions, and sects are welcome at Governor House activities.

He also recounted taking immediate action for citizens in need, such as providing a motorcycle and covering medical expenses for a family after hearing their story on a talk show.

Reflecting on the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), the governor urged society to promote truth, justice, and service to humanity.

He concluded that public engagement and welfare remain his top priorities, and no event at Governor House will proceed without involving the public.

During the Iftar, lucky draw winners included Muhammad Jameel, Samreen Zeeshan, Sonia Naveed, Zahida Muhammad Ali, Hameedullah Wasayo, and Seema Bibi, while a residential plot in Smart City was awarded to Jameel Ahmed of Nawabshah.
