GDA Starts Renovation, Cleaning of Parks

Gwadar: The Environment Directorate of the Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) has initiated efforts to clean parks, as well as renovate and preserve provincial horticulture.
Acting on the directives of Director General GDA Dawood Khan Khilji, the planting of trees has commenced in Gwadar’s parks, according to an official from the GDA.
Supervised by GDA Director of Environment Fazal Shahswar, along with Deputy Director Abdul Rahim Baloch and Assistant Director Hamal Dashti, the renovation projects will receive support from civil society members and other institutions.
The primary goal behind enhancing the aesthetics of the parks is to position Gwadar as a premier travel destination and tourist attraction, attracting both domestic and international visitors to the region.
The official emphasized that modern public parks will be constructed to offer recreational opportunities to the local residents. The GDA will play a vital role in maintaining greenbelts, public parks, and playgrounds throughout the city.

Various initiatives by the GDA, such as the conservation of historical buildings, promotion of tourism, and improvement of green belts, including those between monuments and roads, have been undertaken. Tree plantations are expected to contribute to the city’s overall appeal.
The ongoing projects and rehabilitation of the old town are being expedited, with the removal of encroachments on highways. Conservation efforts are underway without compromising the integrity of historical buildings deemed national heritage.
The official assured that all historical structures would be restored to their original conditions, ensuring the proper preservation of national heritage. The public is encouraged to visit these historical sites with their families.
