Four Killed as Marriage Party Coaster Collides with Truck

Lodhran: At least four people, including two women, a man and a child, were killed and several others injured in a tragic road accident when a coaster carrying a marriage party collided with a truck near Mundhali Morr on Jalal Pur Pirwala Road in tehsil Lodhran on Friday.
According to District Emergency Officer (DEO) Rescue 1122 Engineer Shakeel Ahmed, the accident occurred as the coaster, returning from Jahanian to Gogran, crashed into a truck near Mundhali Morr.
Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the scene immediately after receiving information and shifted the injured to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Lodhran, where emergency measures were put in place to handle the casualties.
Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Ashraf also reached DHQ Hospital and supervised the emergency response and medical arrangements.
Further investigations into the cause of the accident are underway.
Truck Accident Kills One Labourer, Injures Two
A labourer was killed and two others injured when an allegedly overloaded truck overturned due to brake failure in the Lakhra coalfield area of Jamshoro district on Saturday.
According to Lakhra police, the deceased was identified as 30-year-old Aalam Zeb Pathan. Two other labourers sustained injuries in the incident, including Mujahid Pathan, who was reported to be in serious condition. He was initially taken to Taluka Hospital Manjhand and later referred to Liaquat University Hospital, Hyderabad, for further treatment.
Police said that by the evening, an FIR had not yet been registered in connection with the incident.
Local residents have frequently complained about the illegal extraction and transportation of stones for construction purposes in the area, alleging that dumper trucks carrying heavy loads pose serious risks to public safety.
