Foreign Tourist Gang-Raped, Husband Tortured in India

Islamabad: A foreign woman tourist was gang-raped and her husband brutally beaten and tortured in the Indian state of Jharkhand, Indian media reported on Sunday.

According to the details, seven people allegedly raped a 35-year-old woman from Spain in the state of Jharkhand and also brutally tortured her husband.

The incident of gang-rape took place on Friday. The rape survivor woman said in a video message that seven people also stole our belongings, but they did not steal much because they wanted to rape me.

The police took the woman and her husband to the hospital, where it was confirmed that the woman had been raped. Some of the suspected rapists have been arrested and confessed to the crime, while the search for the rest of the suspects is on. 

It should be noted that there have been many incidents of harassment and misbehaviour by foreign women in India.
