Forces Uncover Militants’ Secret Tunnels in Bajaur

Peshawar: Security forces have foiled another militant plot by discovering secret tunnels used by extremists in Bajaur during recent operations, officials said on Thursday.

According to security sources, militants had constructed tunnels inside residential houses, using them as hideouts and storage sites for weapons. From these locations, they were orchestrating organized attacks against both security personnel and civilians.

During the operation, forces recovered large caches of weapons concealed within the tunnels. The seized arms were later displayed to the public as evidence of the group’s activities.

Officials termed the discovery a major success, underscoring how militants had been exploiting populated areas as cover for their subversive designs.
