Five Pakistani Soldiers, Including Colonel, Martyred in Waziristan

Islamabad: Five Pakistan Army soldiers, including a senior officer, were martyred in a fierce clash with terrorists in North Waziristan.
An official statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) released on Saturday confirmed that the brave soldiers lost their lives during the gunbattle.
The martyred personnel included Lieutenant Colonel Muhammad Ali Shaukat, along with Sepoy Jamil Ahmad, Lance Naik Yousuf Ali, Lance Naik Shahidullah, Lance Naik Akhtar Zaman, and Muhammadullah.
In a separate incident, security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Swat Valley, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists.
The operation, carried out in the Charbagh area between the night of October 4 and 5, also led to the arrest of an injured terrorist.
Among those killed was ring leader Attaullah, alias Mehran, who was reportedly involved in targeting convoys of foreign dignitaries and other terrorist activities.
Following the operation, security forces are continuing a sanitization effort in the area to locate any remaining terrorists.
