Anti-Polio Campaign in Tank From Feb13

Peshawar: A five-day anti-polio campaign will kick off on February 13 in Tank district to administer vaccination drops to around 86,550 children aged up to five years of age in 22 union councils of the district.

The Tank administration has completed the arrangements; 656 teams, including 585 mobile, 36 fixed, 28 transit and seven roaming teams, would be engaged in the campaign.

The district administration said that with the assistance of the police, plans were made to carry out the drive without incident and protect the kids from the debilitating illness.

Deputy Commissioner Hameedullah Khattak has asked parents to work with the government and polio teams and to make sure that their children receive the polio vaccine during the campaign.

Meanwhile, Bajaur DC Fahad Wazir on Friday inaugurated an anti-polio campaign which was planned to vaccinate children residing in selected union councils of the district. DC also directed staff to work diligently and achieve the set targets.

Furthermore, a meeting was held regarding the forthcoming polio campaign with Kohat DC Furqan Ashraf in the chair on Friday. He issued necessary instructions regarding making the polio campaign successful across Kohat District.  APP
