Firing Over Marriage Dispute Claims Life in Mansehra

Mansehra: A man was killed and another sustained injuries in a firing incident fueled by personal enmity in the Choiyaan area within the jurisdiction of Darband Police Station on Saturday.

According to police sources, a clash erupted between two rival groups due to a longstanding personal dispute. The incident resulted in the death of Asif, son of Gul Wahid Shah, while another man, Sajjad, was injured.

Initial investigations suggest that the dispute was triggered after Asif married a woman, which allegedly provoked hostility from the rival group. In retaliation, Shakir and his accomplices reportedly opened fire, leading to the fatal confrontation.

Darband Police responded promptly, reaching the scene, controlling the situation, and collecting forensic evidence. Two suspects, Gul Fareed and Hussain, were arrested on the spot, while efforts are underway to apprehend the remaining accused through targeted raids in various areas.

Police have appealed to the public to refrain from spreading rumors or unverified information and urged citizens to cooperate with law enforcement to maintain peace and order in the region.
