Karachi: A massive fire erupted at a hospital in Karachi on Tuesday morning, triggering panic among patients and attendants, but firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control within a short time, a private TV channel reported.
According to reports, the fire caused widespread fear inside the building, prompting several people to rush to the rooftop amid concerns that the flames had spread to the upper floors.
Fire brigade teams, assisted by volunteers from various welfare organizations, carried out the operation using two fire tenders and a snorkel to extinguish the blaze. A fire brigade vehicle rushed to the scene immediately after receiving the alert and initiated rescue efforts.

Several patients were safely evacuated during the operation. Family members of those trapped rushed to the hospital and gathered outside as news of the incident spread.
“If the firefighters had not arrived on time, we would not have survived,” said a woman whose two-year-old son was among the patients rescued from the hospital.
Authorities said the fire was completely doused and no casualties were reported. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.
