Eurovision 2024: Finland, Ireland Lead Charge in Semi-Final

News Desk

London: Finland’s Windows95man made it to the Eurovision 2024 final with his outfit, or rather the lack thereof, grabbing headlines.

Performing his song “No Rules!”,he utilized clever camera angles to create the illusion of not wearing pants during the show at Sweden’s Malmo Arena on Tuesday.

Joining him in the final is Bambie Thug, who continued Ireland’s participation by advancing from the first semi-final.

Unlike the cutthroat elimination of the Champions League, Eurovision sees 26 out of 37 entered countries progress to perform on the grand stage.

The second semi-final takes place on Thursday night, featuring Israel’s Eden Golan aiming to shed a positive light on her country amidst ongoing conflict.

“I’m focusing on my mission and on the good, and on the fact we’re united here by music,” she expressed. The final showdown is set for Saturday, with the UK already secured a spot, courtesy of its contribution to the European Broadcasting Union.

This arrangement, akin to pseudo-bribery, seems necessary given Britain’s recent performances. Additionally, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain receive automatic berths, while Sweden, as the host nation, also earns.

10 countries made it through are:
