ECP to Release Candidate List Today

Islamabad: The final list of candidates for the upcoming general elections is anticipated to be released by the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today (Saturday).

The scrutiny process for candidates vying for reserved seats is also expected to conclude on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the ECP is set to announce its decision on the intra-party elections of the Awami National Party (ANP) at 9:30am, following the reserved decision made on December 21 after completing the hearing.

In a separate development, it has been reported that Musarrat Cheema, a former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader, has chosen to withdraw her nomination papers ahead of the upcoming general elections. Cheema withdrew her nomination papers from both NA-121 and PP-153.
