Dry Weather to Prevail Across Most Parts of Country

Islamabad: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly dry weather across most parts of the country on Friday, with cold conditions expected in hilly regions during the night and early morning hours.

According to the PMD, partly cloudy skies with chances of light rain and isolated thunderstorms are likely in Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

In the federal capital and adjoining areas, dry weather will persist throughout the day.

Most plain districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also expected to remain dry, while light rain or thunderstorms may occur in Chitral, Swat, Malakand, and Dir, where temperatures are likely to drop at night.

In Punjab, the weather will remain mostly dry, with cooler conditions anticipated in Murree, Galiyat, and nearby hilly areas during nighttime and early morning hours.

Sindh is likely to experience hot and dry weather, whereas Balochistan will witness dry conditions in most parts, with cold nights expected in the northern districts.

For Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, partly cloudy to cold weather has been predicted, with chances of light rain and isolated thunderstorms in some areas.

During the past 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most parts of the country, while upper hilly regions experienced cold conditions during night and early morning hours.

The highest maximum temperature recorded on Thursday was 36°C in Dadu, Mirpur Khas, Mithi, Chhor, Tando Jam, and Shaheed Benazirabad, the PMD added.
