Digital Hub Inaugurated for Women at Mattital Campus

Multan: Punjab Governor Balighur Rehman inaugurated a cutting-edge digital hub at the Mattital Campus of Women’s University, aimed at advancing media education in line with the latest trends.
This digital hub marks a significant aspect of the ongoing women’s university project, envisioned to enhance educational infrastructure.
Under the women’s university project, various endeavours are underway, amounting to a total cost of Rs 1.5 billion, as detailed by Dr Kalsoom Pracha, the Vice Chancellor of Women’s University.
Regarding the Digital Hub, Project Director Asad Bhatta disclosed that an allocation of Rs 280 million has been earmarked for its construction, covering an extensive area of 45,500 square feet.

The hub is designed to accommodate a comprehensive mass communication department, comprising a seminar hall, an auditorium, state-of-the-art media facilities, an advanced IT lab, TV and radio studios, five classrooms, 13 officer rooms, a dedicated office for the chairperson, and a specialised training hall.
Chancellor Balighur Rehman lauded the project, emphasising its significance in enhancing educational accessibility. He remarked, “Through this digital hub, students across South Punjab will gain access to contemporary media education without the need for relocation. This pioneering initiative will undoubtedly revolutionise the educational landscape.
Moreover, the Digital Hub project at Women’s University Multan is poised to redefine the educational experience for students, setting a new benchmark for mass communication departments in universities, said Chancellor Balighur Rehman.
