Dense Fog Disrupts Train Schedules Across Pakistan

Islamabad: Pakistan’s train operations faced significant disruptions due to dense fog and harsh winter weather, with delays of up to nine hours causing severe inconvenience to passengers.

The Karakoram Express, traveling from Lahore to Karachi, experienced a delay of seven hours, leaving passengers stranded in freezing temperatures.

Similarly, the Business Express departing from Lahore was delayed by seven and a half hours, further compounding the challenges faced by travelers.

Additionally, the Pakistan Express reported a delay exceeding five hours, adding to the growing frustration of commuters. Passengers endured harsh conditions while waiting for their trains, as the persistent fog continued to wreak havoc on railway schedules nationwide.

The severe weather has highlighted the vulnerabilities of the railway system to climatic disruptions, leaving passengers struggling to cope with the biting cold and extended waiting times.
