Dengue Outbreak: 111 New Cases, 70 Hospital Admissions in Pindi

Rawalpindi: The dengue outbreak in Rawalpindi continues to escalate, with 111 new patients diagnosed with positive dengue symptoms and 70 additional admissions to various allied hospitals in the last 24 hours.

According to the District Health Authority’s report released on Thursday, a total of 338 patients are currently receiving treatment in hospitals. Since January of this year, 2,393 dengue cases have been reported.

The report indicates that 47 patients are from the peri-urban areas of Potohar Town, while 26 individuals diagnosed with dengue symptoms reside in Rawalpindi Cantt Board areas.

Additionally, nine cases were reported in the Chaklala Cantonment area, contributing to a total of 35 cases from the combined Cantt areas.
