Peshawar: The meteorology department on Saturday predicted cold and cloudy weather in most districts of KP province.
The official highlighted the likelihood of fog during morning and evening hours in districts like Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Dera Ismail Khan, and Bannu. The closure of the Peshawar Motorway due to heavy fog was cited as a precautionary measure against potential incidents.
“In Kalam, temperatures have plummeted below freezing,” the official revealed. “The current temperature in Kalam stands at minus 5 degrees Celsius. Peshawar registers a minimum of 3 degrees Celsius, with an expected maximum of 9 degrees Celsius,” the official further explained.
Additionally, the official provided temperature updates for various other districts: Dir at minus 3, Chitral at minus 1, Parachinar at zero, Malam Jabba at 1, and Takhtbhai at 2 degrees Celsius as their respective maximum temperatures.
