COAS Vows Support for Balochistan’s Peace, Prosperity

Rawalpindi: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), HJ, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), visited Turbat on Friday to review the prevailing security situation, assess ongoing development projects, and reinforce coordination between military and civil institutions for the stability and prosperity of Balochistan.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the COAS reiterated the Pakistan Army’s resolve to stand shoulder to shoulder with the people of Balochistan in their pursuit of peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.

During his interaction with Chief Minister Balochistan and representatives of the civil administration, Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized the importance of good governance, infrastructure development, and inclusive, people-centric progress.

He highlighted that joint civil-military efforts were crucial to addressing the challenges faced by the province and reaffirmed full support for initiatives aimed at improving the socio-economic conditions of southern Balochistan.

The COAS also met with troops and commended their high morale, operational readiness, and unflinching commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty. He lauded their role in ensuring peace and stability in the region under challenging circumstances.

He was briefed on the overall security dynamics, including the threat perspective, successful operations against Fitna al Hindustan, ongoing development projects, and initiatives to uplift the socio-economic landscape of southern Balochistan.

The Chief Minister and Chief Secretary of Balochistan, along with other senior officials, were present on the occasion. Upon arrival, Field Marshal Asim Munir was received by Corps Commander Balochistan.
