Cloudy Weather with Rain, Heavy Falls Expected in KP

Peshawar: The Provincial Meteorological Center in Peshawar forecasted partly cloudy weather across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, with rain and thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds expected in several districts.

Heavy rainfall is predicted in isolated areas, including Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Battagram, Kohistan, Torghar, Shangla, Chitral, Upper and Lower Dir, Swat, Buner, Malakand, Bajaur, Mohmand, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Peshawar, Khyber, Kohat, Hangu, Kurram, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, Karak, Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, and North and South Waziristan.

Over the last 24 hours, most parts of the province experienced mainly cloudy weather, with thunderstorms and rain recorded in Chitral, Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Bannu.

Rainfall recorded in millimeters at various locations included: Kakul (15mm), Chitral (14mm), Mirkhani (12mm), Pattan (10mm), Drosh (5mm), Dir and Balakot (3mm each), Kalam and Buner (2mm each).

The maximum and minimum temperatures in Celsius across different stations were as follows:

  • Peshawar: 31/22°C
  • Chitral: 27/14°C
  • Timergara: 28/18°C
  • Dir: 25/14°C
  • Mirkhani: 29/16°C
  • Kalam: 20/10°C
  • Drosh: 30/13°C
  • Saidu Sharif: 28/18°C
  • Pattan: 27/19°C
  • Malam Jabba: 18/11°C
  • Takht Bhai: 32/22°C
  • Kakul: 26/15°C
  • Balakot: 30/16°C
  • Parachinar: 29/16°C
  • Bannu: 31/23°C
  • Cherat: 27/14°C
  • Dera Ismail Khan: 34/26°C
  • Risalpur: 31/23°C
  • Kohat: 31/22°C

The highest temperature recorded in the province was 34°C in Dera Ismail Khan.
