Lahore: Cloudy weather with scattered rain continued in the provincial capital on Tuesday, with the Meteorological Department predicting similar conditions over the next 24 hours.

Light showers in various localities brought relief and pleasant conditions for citizens.

However, the MET office warned of heavy rainfall on September 3, which could cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Lahore and flash floods in nullahs and streams across Narowal, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Kasur, Okara, Sheikhupura, Hafizabad, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Mardan, Swabi, and Peshawar.

Officials further cautioned that heavy downpours might trigger landslides and flooding in vulnerable areas of Jammu, Bhimber, Mirpur, Kotli, Punch, Haveli, Batagram, Abbottabad, Buner, Swat, Murree, and Galliyat. Landslides or mudslides could also block roads in hilly terrain of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Murree, Galliyat, and Kashmir.
