Climate Dialogue Set in Islamabad as Pakistan Faces Record Heatwaves
News Desk
Islamabad: As Pakistan grapples with intensifying heatwaves and climate-related challenges, Freedom Gate Prosperity (FGP), in collaboration with the Jurist Panel, will host the National Climate Dialogue 2025 on Thursday, under its Climate Change Advocacy Initiative.
Titled “Climate Resilience – A Discussion Amidst Extreme Heatwave,” the dialogue will take place from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the FGP Conference Room in Islamabad. The two-hour hybrid session will bring together legal experts, environmental advocates, policymakers, and institutional stakeholders from across the country, both in-person and virtually.
The event aims to spotlight Pakistan’s growing climate vulnerabilities, with a particular focus on legal, governance, and institutional gaps that hinder effective climate response. Panelists will share practical recommendations to strengthen legal accountability, improve policy implementation, and enhance inter-agency coordination.
Outcomes from the dialogue are expected to contribute to future legislative advocacy efforts and the formulation of national climate strategies.
Participation is open to legal professionals, environmental experts, civil society members, and media representatives committed to advancing Pakistan’s climate resilience.
