Beijing: China Southern Airlines has launched a direct flight route between Guangzhou and Islamabad, enhancing connectivity between the two nations.
The inaugural flight, CZ8069, departed from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on August 25, carrying 163 passengers bound for Islamabad.
This new route, operated by a Boeing 787, will run three times a week and is expected to reduce travel time and costs, further strengthening exchanges between the two countries.
The launch follows Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of visa-free entry for Chinese citizens starting August 14. The route is part of China Southern Airlines’ expanding network of flights under the Belt and Road Initiative.
