Islamabad: The Islamabad Police have intensified their crackdown on one-wheeling and reckless driving following fresh directives issued by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Sunday.

Emphasising zero tolerance for illegal road activities, IG Rizvi directed officers to maintain strict supervision and take firm action across all zones. “Illegal activities on roads will no longer be tolerated,” he stated, urging law enforcement personnel to continue targeted crackdowns in their respective areas.

He also stressed the importance of ensuring a safe and family-friendly environment at public recreational spots. “Families visiting places like Daman-e-Koh and Lake View Park must be provided with all necessary facilities,” he said, adding that while families would be allowed access, youngsters would be restricted from entering designated no-go zones.

Highlighting the continued police deployment during the Eid holidays, IG Rizvi noted that over 1,500 police officials, including 300 traffic officers, remained on duty to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow.

The IG further urged the public to refrain from dangerous stunts such as one-wheeling and reckless driving, and advised citizens to immediately contact the police helpline 15 in case of any emergency.
