Blind Murder Solved; Prime Suspect Arrested

Islamabad: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Police’s Secretariat Police, in coordination with the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU), have solved the blind murder case of Muhammad Ali and arrested the prime suspect.

An official told APP on Thursday that the victim’s son, Mustafa Ali, had approached the Secretariat Police Station to report his father missing and expressed suspicion about their neighbour, Salar Abbasi. Following the complaint, FIR No. 604/25 was registered under murder charges.

The official said that Muhammad Ali’s body was later recovered from Ramli Village near Shahdara Khurd, a forested area. The corpse bore firearm injuries, and investigators collected five spent 30-bore pistol cartridges from the scene as evidence.

Acting on the directions of DIG Muhammad Jawad Tariq, SHO Mian Imran formed a special investigation team. Using modern technical tools, including CCTV footage, call data records, and geo-fencing, the HIU and police team conducted focused raids that led to the arrest of the prime suspect, Salar Abbasi.

The official added that interrogation of the accused is ongoing, and more arrests are expected as raids continue to trace possible accomplices.

SHO Mian Imran said those involved in this heinous crime would be brought to justice and that no offender would be spared.

Dhamial Police Nab Man Over House Theft; Rs 3 Million Recovered

The Dhamial Police have arrested a man accused of committing a house theft about two weeks ago and recovered Rs 3 million allegedly obtained through the sale of stolen gold ornaments.

According to a Rawalpindi Police spokesperson, the suspect was traced and apprehended through the use of both technical and human intelligence methods.

The spokesperson said the recovery was made after the suspect disclosed and identified the location where the proceeds from the sale of the stolen jewellery had been hidden.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Muhammad Nabeel Khokhar directed the Dhamial Police to prepare a strong case with solid evidence to ensure the accused’s conviction in court.
