Asif Links Iran Conflict to Israeli Expansion Toward Pakistan

Islamabad: Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has alleged that the ongoing war against Iran is part of a wider regional strategy aimed at extending Israeli influence closer to Pakistan’s borders.
In a post shared on social media platform X, the minister claimed that the conflict was imposed on Iran despite its willingness to reach an agreement. He described Zionism as a threat to humanity and argued that, since the establishment of Israel on Palestinian land, major crises and wars affecting the Islamic world have reflected what he termed Zionist ideology and state influence.
Asif further asserted that Zionism has dominated the global economic system for more than a century and that major world powers remain influenced by it.
Turning to Pakistan’s position, the defence minister highlighted the country’s status as a nuclear power and said its armed forces are respected internationally. He paid tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs and veterans, crediting their sacrifices with safeguarding national sovereignty.
He also offered prayers for those who contributed to Pakistan’s nuclear capability and praised former prime minister Nawaz Sharif for his role in authorizing the country’s nuclear tests.
The minister reiterated his claim that the war on Iran is part of a broader agenda designed to bring Israeli influence closer to Pakistan’s frontiers.
He further alleged that Afghanistan, Iran, and India share a common agenda hostile to Pakistan, aimed at destabilizing its borders and encircling the country with adversaries.
Calling for national unity, Asif urged Pakistan’s 250 million citizens to remain vigilant against what he described as external conspiracies despite internal differences.
He concluded his remarks with prayers for unity in the Muslim world, the freedom of Palestine, and Pakistan’s continued stability and strength.
