ASI Dismissed For Mistreating Senior Citizen

Peshawar: District Police Officer (DPO) Bannu Ziauddin Ahmad suspended an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) after a video of mistreatment of an elderly person by the officer was posted on social media.

The DPO took notice and started departmental proceedings against him.

Ziauddin Ahmad stated that police are responsible for protecting people’s lives and property. No police officer is allowed to defame the public and anyone caught breaking the law will be punished, he added.

Additionally, DPO Ahmed urged the populace to give the police their full support as they carry out their official duties.
