Arshad Nadeem Wins Gold as Pakistan Dominates Javelin

Riyadh: Pakistan delivered a spectacular performance in the javelin throw at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, clinching both gold and silver medals.

Arshad Nadeem led the charge, securing the gold with an 83.05-metre throw on his second attempt. He opened the competition with a 75.44m throw and followed it with 82.48m on his third attempt.

Nadeem, who previously set a Games record of 88.55m in Konya in 2022, added another remarkable achievement to his illustrious career. His teammate Yasir Sultan earned the silver medal, giving Pakistan a double podium finish, while Nigeria’s Semiu Adams claimed the bronze.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi congratulated Nadeem on his victory, saying, “Well done, national hero Arshad Nadeem. I also extend my congratulations to his coach and family. Arshad has made every Pakistani proud. His win is Pakistan’s triumph.”
