Islamabad: The Supreme Court (SC) on Friday rejected an appeal from the All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) seeking the reinstatement of its election symbol, the ‘Eagle’.
Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, alongside Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Musarrat Hilali, comprised the three-member bench that heard the case initiated by the APML.
The Chief Justice, addressing the petitioner’s lawyer, said that neither party elections were conducted nor any relevant records were submitted to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
He said an end to the tradition of making unfounded allegations against state institutions. Consequently, the court dismissed the appeal.
