ANF Seizes 287kg Drugs, Arrests 16 Suspects

Rawalpindi: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) conducted 10 operations nationwide, resulting in the seizure of 287 kg of drugs and the arrest of 16 individuals, according to a spokesperson from ANF Headquarters.
Among the seizures, 8400 intoxicated tablets were found in a parcel destined for the UK at a courier office in Rawalpindi. Additionally, 108 kg of hashish, 3.6 kg of opium, and 2 kg of Ice were confiscated from a suspect apprehended near Expressway Islamabad.
In another raid, 72 kg of hashish was seized from an individual near Ring Road Peshawar, while 48 kg of hashish was recovered from an area near M-1 Islamabad. Furthermore, 24 kg of opium was seized from three suspects near Kala Shah Kaku Toll Plaza in Sheikhupora.
Twelve kilograms of hashish were confiscated from two suspects in Sohrab Goth Karachi, and eight kilograms of hashish were recovered from two accused individuals in Tondojam Hyderabad.
Additionally, 5.8 kg of hashish was seized from five accused individuals in Sector G-9 Islamabad.
Furthermore, 2 kg of opium was recovered from a drug smuggler apprehended near Burhan Interchange in Attock, and 105 grams of Ice were seized from an individual arrested near a university in Islamabad.
Cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act have been filed against the arrested individuals, and further investigations are ongoing.
