MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir government has approved the establishment of special courts aimed at facilitating overseas Kashmiris.

This decision was made to enhance legal support for the diaspora community, ensuring their rights and interests are adequately protected.

In addition to the judicial reforms, the government has allocated 2% of its budget to promote sports activities within the region. Officials emphasized the importance of sports in fostering community spirit and youth engagement.

Furthermore, the establishment of a Gemstone Excellence Center is set to boost the mineral sector, which is vital for economic development.

This initiative is expected to significantly benefit overseas Kashmiris by providing them with easier access to legal recourse and enhancing their connection to their homeland.

The focus on sports and minerals also indicates a broader strategy to stimulate local economies and attract investment.

Looking ahead, the government plans to implement these changes swiftly, with the first special court expected to be operational within the next few months.

Stakeholders are encouraged to participate in upcoming discussions to further refine these initiatives.
