News Desk

Rawalpindi: Adiala Jail has introduced a new Wi-Fi-enabled monitoring system to enhance security for visitors, private news media reported on Thursday.

The system, featuring biometric verification and barcode scanning, is installed at the prison’s main gates and perimeter walls.

Entry is strictly limited to those with verified national identity cards, with the system connected to NADRA and the Home Department for real-time identity verification.

If verification is incomplete, entry is denied. The enhanced security measures apply to all visitors, including those meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan, ensuring robust security protocols at the facility.
