PMD Forecasts Mainly Dry Weather in Most Parts Of Country

Islamabad/Karachi/ Peshawar: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted mainly dry weather for most parts of the country over the next 24 hours. Cold weather will predominate in the country’s northern areas. Light rain-wind/thunderstorm/snowfall is expected at isolated places in Chitral, Dir, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.

The synoptic condition indicates that continental air is prevailing over most of the country. Rain, wind and thunderstorms occurred in Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan and Murree over the past 24 hours. Dry weather prevailed in other parts of the country.

The rainfall recorded at different stations is as follows:

Kashmir: Rawalakot 06mm, Garhidupatta 02, Muzaffarabad (Airport) 01; GB: Astore 05, Skardu, Bagrote 01; Punjab: Murree 01mm.

The lowest minimum temperatures recorded are Kalam -07°C ,Leh -06, Gupis, Malamjabba -02 and Skardu -01°C.

Sindh Weather Update

The PMD on Tuesday forecasted hot and dry weather in most parts of the Sindh province during the next 24 hours. The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded are as follows:

KP Weather Update

The Provincial Meteorological Center (PMC) Peshawar on Tuesday forecasts dry weather in most districts of the province, while partly cloudy and cold in upper districts and hilly areas. It states that isolated rain-wind and thunderstorm with light snowfall over the hills is likely to occur over Chitral, Dir, Malakand, Upper Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, and Mansehra districts.

The majority of the KP’s districts had cold and gloomy weather throughout the last 24 hours, according to PMC. However, scattered rain-wind and thunderstorm with light snowfall over the hills occurred over Chitral, Lower & Upper Dir, Malakand, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad Buner and Khyber districts.
