Lahore: The Punjab government has announced that school teachers will be granted a holiday on Saturdays during the holy month of Ramadan.
According to sources in the Punjab School Education Department (PSED), official instructions have been issued to facilitate teachers, ensuring that all government schools implement this decision.
It is noteworthy that students in government schools were already given Saturdays off during Ramadan, and now, this exemption has been extended to teachers as well.
Additionally, the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has revised school timings for all federal educational institutions during Ramadan 2025. These adjusted timings will take effect from the first day of Ramadan and will automatically revert to pre-Ramadan schedules afterward.
