Rawalpindi: The Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) Rawalpindi has undertaken special measures to maintain greenery in the city’s public parks amid a lack of rainfall.

According to PHA Rawalpindi Director General Ahmed Hassan Ranjha, efforts are underway to water dry grass beds, plant trees, and cultivate flowering plants in green belts and parks on a fast-track basis.

He stated that, on the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, the cleaning of parks and green belts is also in progress.

“The PHA has always played a key role in beautifying Rawalpindi. We are committed to providing quality recreational facilities so that citizens can enjoy a fresh and vibrant environment, especially with the arrival of spring,” Ranjha added.

He further mentioned that the PHA aims to complete the plantation of flowering plants by the end of February.
